- David Bowie created himself in his own images. He was Davie
- Jones on his first record, then became Ziggy Stardust, and was
- distilled into the Thin White Duke. His latest manifestation:
- the Goodbye Kid. Into the summer he'll be touring -- watched
- over by his own likenesses -- and singing former hits. Unlike
- other stars who rock till they drop, Bowie, 43, is "moving on"
- and says that after this gig, his fans will never hear the old
- songs again. "I won't be singing Suffragette City when I'm 50."
- That's a promise -- but can he keep it?
